Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs high‑quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The technologist ensures patient safety, comfort, and image integrity while adhering to all regulatory and departmental standards.

Hours: 8am-4pm


Job Essentials:  

Perform MRI examinations per established protocols and physician ordersScreen patients for MRI safety, contraindications, and implant compatibilityPrepare and position patients; explain procedures and ensure patient comfortAdminister contrast agents per policy and monitor patients for adverse reactionsOperate MRI equipment and associated computer systems to produce diagnostic imagesMaintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical recordEnsure compliance with MRI safety regulations, infection control, and radiation safety policiesPerform routine quality control checks and report equipment issues promptlyCollaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionalsMaintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times



Education Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited MRI or Radiologic Technology programRegistered MRI Technologist (ARRT‑MR) New Jersey state licensure (if applicable)BLS certification requiredMinimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred (hospital or outpatient setting)


 License/Certification/Registry:

BLS required

Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
