Health and Wellness
Englewood Health offers a full range of health and wellness benefits. The extent to which you receive these benefits depends on your employment status. Further details relating to specific benefits will be shared during the onboarding process.
Health coverage benefits offer two plan designs to choose from: 3-Tier Plan (PPO) or 2-Tier Point of Service (POS). Eligible team members have access to a variety of primary and specialty providers through our extensive network of providers in the Englewood Health Physician Network (EHPN) as well as the United Healthcare Choice Plus network.
Prescription drug coverage provides access to hundreds of area pharmacies as well as a mail order option.
Vision coverage provides both in-network and out-of-network coverage. In network, the plan pays greater allowances and has small copays for materials and provider services. Out-of-network, the plan pays fixed allowances toward provider services and materials.
Dental coverage is offered with two plan options. Each plan covers comprehensive dental services with an extensive group of participating dentists and non-participating providers.
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance benefits are provided to all full-time team members. The coverage level you receive for both Basic Life and AD&D depends on your position.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) allow team members to set aside pre-tax money to pay for qualified expenses which lowers your taxable income. Two spending accounts are available: one for health care expenses and one for dependent care expenses.
Commuter Benefits cover all types of commuting including subway, bus, train, ferry, and vanpool. This is a pre-tax benefit.
Tuition Assistance for eligible team members pursuing higher education is available following completion of one year of employment.
Retirement Income Plans allow participants to make pre-tax salary deferrals upon hire. Matching contributions following one year of service are available, with amounts based on years of eligible service.
Integrative Medicine Opportunities: Englewood Health offers a holistic approach to wellness, incorporating complementary therapies into traditional care, through our Graf Center for Integrative Medicine. The center provides safe, evidence-based therapies, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, stress management and yoga, which have been proven to promote healthy behaviors and manage chronic disease. Englewood Health employees receive a discount on most of the services.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits are available to all employees and provide counseling to help with legal, financial, or emotional problems. The EAP is completely confidential and available 24/7.
Paid time off (PTO) is offered to eligible employees and consists of vacation, holiday, and sick benefit time off. Accruals are based on position, hours worked and years of service. Holidays include New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day/Float Holiday, President’s Day/Float Holiday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
College Savings Program (529 Savings Plan) helps you save for your child’s or other immediate family member’s college education through payroll deductions.
The Credit Union provides the convenience of payroll-deducted savings accounts, holiday club, vacation clubs, money access service, and loans to qualified employees.
Group Automobile and Homeowner’s Insurance coverage is available to all eligible employees.

Permanent Life Insurance with Living Benefits
- Coverage built for a lifetime. Help protect your family’s quality of life—after you are gone or while you’re still living.
- One policy. Two benefits. Living Benefits will pay for services and accommodations if you need assistance with your activities of daily living. Permanent life insurance gives you protection through a policy that maintains level premiums. Together, they provide protection and security through all stages of life.
Disability Insurance
- Protects your income if an illness or off-the-job injury prevents you from working.
- Benefits are paid directly to you, tax free under current tax law, to use however you wish (mortgage, food, bills, etc.).
- Collect up to $3,000/month (amount of income replacement is based on salary).
Critical Illness Insurance
- Lump sum benefit dollars paid to you upon confirmed diagnosis of a covered critical illness, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure.
- Dollars paid directly to you to use as you choose.
- Benefits paid in addition to medical and disability benefits.
- Family coverage is available for employee, spouse, and eligible dependent children.
- Wellness Benefit pays $50 for any one covered health screening test per year for employee and spouse.
Accident Insurance
- Provides coverage for on- and off-the-job accidents for you, your spouse, and your eligible children.
- Plan pays in addition to medical and disability benefits for emergency room, fractures, cuts, burns, etc.
Hospital Indemnity Insurance
- Helpful in paying deductibles and other out-of-pocket costs such as hospital admission.
- Your benefits are paid regardless of any other voluntary benefits you may have.
Identify Theft Protection
- A comprehensive identity theft plan so fraudulent activity can be caught sooner.
- Should you become a victim of identity theft, full-service restoration services can begin to repair the damage.
Pet Insurance
- Reimbursements are paid directly to pet owners for a comprehensive list of veterinary services.
- Choice of veterinarian and no pre-authorization required.
