Job Summary:
Englewood Health is seeking a highly motivated APN or PA to serve as a Patient Blood Management Navigator, supporting a systemwide initiative to optimize blood utilization, enhance patient outcomes, and promote evidence‑based transfusion practices. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about quality improvement, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The PBM Navigator will work closely with physicians, nursing teams, laboratory services, and quality leadership to ensure patients receive safe, appropriate, and individualized care related to anemia management, transfusion decisions, and perioperative optimization. The Navigator drives the organization’s clinical initiatives and activities relating to patient blood management (PBM) and Bloodless Medicine and Surgery.
In collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, the APN provides comprehensive direct patient care, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, symptom management, survivorship care, and health promotion. This role includes prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies in accordance with established clinical guidelines, institutional policies, and collaborative practice agreements.
Beyond direct clinical care, the APN plays an integral role in patient and family education, care coordination, research participation, and clinical consultation. The APN contributes to quality improvement initiatives, supports evidence-based practice, and engages in activities that enhance patient outcomes, safety, and continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- Experience with/knowledge of patient blood management preferred or self-motivated learner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Bilingual ability preferred (Spanish/Korean)
- Computer skills necessary (Microsoft Office)
- Current driver’s license required and access to a vehicle.
License/Certification/Registry:
- Master’s degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
- Current NJ APN or PA license in good standing
- CDS & DEA Registrations
- National certification (AANP/ANCC for APNs; NCCPA for PAs)

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
Minimum rate: $55.00 per hour
