Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the food service supervisor, the Barista is responsible for maintaining a sanitary work environment, preparing and handling food, communicating effectively with staff and management, and assisting with the inventory process. Must be able to function independently. Must be service-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: Variable. Weekend rotation required.
Hours: 5:30am-1:30pm, 12:30pm-8:30pm, 3:15pm-11:15pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lives organizational values and consistently communicates with customers, colleagues, and management with respect, courtesy, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Explains menu items, prepares drinks and food according to recipes and sanitary regulations, and ensures timely service to meet customer expectations.
- Maintains adequate supplies, requisitions food and materials, assists with inventory processes, rotates stock, and reports needs to supervisors.
- Follows food safety guidelines, sanitizes equipment, performs routine and special cleaning tasks, and keeps work areas organized and hygienic.
- Operates cash register and equipment, processes paperwork, and performs additional duties as assigned to support smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety is desirable.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Must be able to display excellent customer service.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with food service employees, patients and nursing personnel.
- Must be able to analyze and solve arithmetic problems.
Minimum rate: $17.20
