Job Summary:
The Vascular Lab Technologist will utilizes duplex ultrasound (color/spectral Doppler & grayscale), and plethysmography techniques to perform non-invasive testing on patients referred to the Vascular Lab to diagnose the presence of vascular disorders. Provides preliminary test results and documentation required for the reading physician to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the results to be used by physicians to determine the appropriate medical and/or surgical therapies.

Job Essentials:

 

  • Prior experience in Vascular Lab

  • Perform patient assessments 

  • Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies 

  • Provide a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management 

  • Use independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care 

 

 

Education Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program 

 

License/Certification/Registry:

 

  • Registered Vascular Tech (RVT)  

  • Eligible to take an exam to become a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
