The Englewood Health Physician Network seeks a Medical Assistant/Receptionist to play a key role in creating an experience for our patients when they walk through the door. In this dynamic role, the Medical Assistant/Receptionist will support both clinical and administrative operations by assisting with patient registration, collecting and maintaining accurate patient information, coordinating patient flow and preparing patients for their visits. This position will work closely with providers and team members to ensure efficient daily operations while delivering patient centered services. Location: Pompton Plains 

Status: Part Time 
Shift: Days 
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one or more years (1+) experience as a medical assistant preferred
  • Ability to manage patient flow effectively and take vital signs
  • Assisting in variety of treatments and medications as directed
  • Recording test results and maintaining medical records
  • Preparing exam room with supplies and equipment for treatments
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization process and patient registration procedures 
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when handling sensitive patient information
  • Experience working with EPIC and/or other electronic medical record systems

Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent of five (5) years of Medical Assistant/PCT experience
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Certifications:

  • Current CPR Certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT)

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
