Englewood Health, a nationally recognized, top‑ranked hospital in Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support the Department of Urology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected clinical team during a period of continued departmental growth.
About the Opportunity:
- This is a temporary status role expected to lasts for 4-6 months.
- Department makeup: (3) full-time (1) part-time physician & (1) full-time nurse practitioner.
- The APN/PA will provide comprehensive care to urology patients across all phases of care, including evaluations, follow‑up visits, pre‑ and post‑operative management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The Department of Urology currently performs a wide range of cases each year and is experiencing steady growth.
- The ideal candidate will excel in communication, interpersonal skills, precise documentation, and clinical expertise in managing all phases of care for urology patients.
- The midlevel provider will plan, direct, and coordinate key operations of the department and will work hand‑in‑hand with Physicians, Medical Assistants, and Scheduling Coordinators to support optimal patient outcomes.
What your day will look like

Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.

Manage pre‑and post‑operative urology patients.

Perform follow‑up visits and assist with individualized care plans.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

Provide patient education and support.

Document clinical findings accurately and efficiently in the EMR (Epic).

Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical support teams.

Participate in daily rounds and care coordination.

Support departmental operations and workflow management.
Qualifications:
All Candidates
- Minimum 1–3 years of urology or surgical experience preferred
- DEA and NJ CDS registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Advanced Practice Nurse
- Master’s or Doctorage degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- National Board certificatioin is required
- Current NJ Professional Nurse License
- Current NJ Nurse Practitioner License
Physician Assistant
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NJ Physician Assistant License
- Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification
