Job Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of respiratory care services to the in-patient, out-patient, clinic, and emergency room population. In addition, responsible for participation in and/or the development of departmental policy and procedure formulation and quality improvement activities.

Job Essentials:

Resposible for the delivery of respiratory care services in an out patint clinic setting.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIES

• · Assures a high quality delivery of respiratory care services based on current knowledge and standards of practice in the field and guided by departmental policy and procedure.
• · Assures appropriate , efficient and accurate delivery of respiratory care services in varied levels of workload and conditions
• · Undertstands and practices proper laboratory and testing skills and principles
• · Communicates in a clear ,direct, respectful and professional manner at all times;patient and work related information through shift report and other mechanisms.
• · Participates in new employee orientation and training
• · Demonstrates safe and risk reduction practices in all activities,which includes adherence to policies and procedures ,such as universal precautions(hand washing)and proper equiptment cleaning.
• · Performs other duties as required
• · Demonstrates ability to accept new assignment and challenges
• · Participates in quality improvement activite

 Education Requirements: Associates or Bachelor's degreee

 License/Certification/Registry: NJ Licensed Respiratory Therapist
