Englewood Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Service Unit. This advanced practice provider will work collaboratively with surgeons, residents, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care to patients with complex orthopedic and neurosurgical conditions.
About the Opportunity
- This role involves inpatient management, perioperative care, consults, and coordination across the continuum of care.

- Schedule: At least one (1) shift per month – 7:00A-5:00P.
What your day will look like
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care to orthopedic and neurosurgical patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Perform daily rounds, document progress notes, and manage ongoing clinical needs.
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative management, including patient education and discharge planning.
- Conduct consults in collaboration with attending physicians and surgical teams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studies.
- Participate in care coordination, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
Qualifications
All Candidates
- Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient or neurology experience preferred; highly motivated new graduates with strong neurology interest will be considered
- DEA and NJ CDS registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Advanced Practice Nurse
- Master’s or Doctorage degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- National Board certificatioin is required
- Current NJ Professional Nurse License
- Current NJ Nurse Practitioner License
Physician Assistant
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NJ Physician Assistant License
- Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification
