Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Employment and Onboarding, the Human Resource Assistant acts as a liaison between the HR department and employees, responding to internal and external HR related inquiries and requests and screening and triaging visitors. As the initial contact of the HR department, ensures superior customer service and represents professionalism in all interactions. Provides general administrative assistance, including but not limited to pre-employment process clearances, background and reference checking, preemployment physical scheduling/reminders, HRIS system data entry, drafting communication, and collection and filing of documents. Assists with department-led activities as required. Responsible for creating and maintaining office filing systems and electronic files for efficient retrieval by the HR team. Organizes and maintains hard copy documentation and electronic records of personnel-related data in accordance with Joint Commission requirements.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required, MS Excel required; PeopleSoft preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, handle sensitive information and manage time, projects and deadlines efficiently and effectively
- Ability to maintain an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize workload; required to meet deadlines while working in a fast-pace environment with frequent interruptions.
Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One to two years of previous Human Resources Department experience preferred.
