Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chef, responsible for production and distribution of foods for hospital patients, cafeteria and special functions as assigned.

Shift: Variable
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm/11:30am-7:30pm. Weekend rotation required.
Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- Upholds organizational values and service excellence standards, ensuring respectful, courteous, and confidential communication with customers, peers, and management.
- Prepares and cooks food for patients, cafeteria, and catering using standardized recipes, proper techniques, and safety protocols.
- Plans and coordinates cooking schedules to meet serving times while maintaining quality, temperature, and food safety standards.
- Supports food service operations by assisting with serving, catering setup, menu planning, recipe modifications, and food storage.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas and equipment, and responds to food complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field
- One year significant experience/institution cooking or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic problems.
- Good verbal/written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with all dietary personnel, hospital employees and maintenance.
