We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Program Coordinator to support and coordinate clinical programs within our growing practice - Hematology Oncology Physicians of Englewood (HOPE) in Northern New Jersey. The Clinical Program Coordinator will serve as a key liaison among physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, patients, caregivers, hospital partners, and community resources. 

This role is responsible for overseeing patient-centered clinical initiatives, coordinating oncology care pathways, improving quality outcomes, supporting accreditation and compliance activities, and ensuring seamless delivery of care across the continuum. The ideal candidate is a highly organized RN with oncology experience and a passion for quality, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. 

 

About the Opportunity 

 

  • Under direction of the MDP Office Manager, directs plans and coordinates the work of ancillary/support staff. Promotes and restores patients’ health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends and families. 

 

What your day will look like

 

  • Assist practice administrator and/or office manager to develop and implement short and long-term work plans and objectives for medical assistants and clerical staff. 

  • Assist supervisor in understanding/implementing organizational policies and procedures. 

  • Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary. 

  • Help office manager establish deadlines for work assignment and completion. Monitors work status and progress. 

  • Identify, analyze and resolve work problems. 

  • Ensure that patients are treated courteously by office staff and that other visitors are screened and properly directed. 

  • Ensure that requests for information are handled promptly and effectively. 

  • Participate in professional development activities. 

  • Perform general nursing care to patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. 

  • Prepare equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients. 

  • Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispense medication as directed. 

  • Oversee appointment bookings and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintain timely flow of patients. 

  • Greet patients and prepare them for physician examination. Screen patients for appropriate information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests. 

  • Coordinate for patient testing and admissions. 

  • Respond to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. 

  • Maintain and review patients' records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. 

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • RN required, BSN preferred 

  • One (1) year of nursing experience is preferred 

  • Current NJ RN licensure 

  • Current BLS certification  

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and flexibility

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The rate shown reflects the flat hourly rate for this position; this position is not benefit eligible.

Minimum compensation: $80,000 annual
