Job Summary:
The Assistant Program Director (APD) of Podiatry will possess appropriate clinical, administrative, and teaching qualifications suitable for achieving the competencies of the podiatry residency. In partnership with the Program Director, the APD The Program director will be responsible supervision of residents and faculty, and coordination with accrediting bodies and our DIO to maintain certifications. The APD will be primarily responsible for academic curriculum including lectures and simulations, as directed by the PD and consistent with the requirements of the Board of Podiatric Medicine and standards of academic excellence.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- The Assistant Program Director shall be a Podiatric Physician.
- The Assistant Program Director shall participate in the administration of the residency program
- The Assistant Program Director must be certified by at least on eboard recognized by the Specialty Board Recognition Committee or board eligible.
- The Assistant Program Director must be a member of the medical staff and/or employed by the sponsoring institution.
- The Assistant Program Director shall devote sufficient time to fulfill the responsibilities required of the position.
- The Assistant Program Director will participate in the development and implementation of the resident training and didactic experiences including simulation, as directed by the program director.
- The Assistant Program Director will directly participate in resident recruitment.
- Experience in resident education.
License/Certification/Registry:
- Certification by American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and/or American Board of Podiatric Medicine
- Member of the Medical Staff in good standing with an established track record for clinical excellence.
