Job Summary:Under the guidance of the Director of Pastoral Care and the supervision of the Director of Volunteer Services assists the hospital chaplains in their ministry of providing spiritual healing, being a liaison between the hospital administration, area clergy, staff, patients, and their families. Performs all secretarial duties for the chaplains and receptionist duties for the office, assisting clergy and congregational lay visitors, showing sufficient maturity to be entrusted with sensitive information. Maintains patients' religious affiliation records and chaplaincy fund account deposits

Job Essentials:
- Provides clerical and administrative support to the Chaplaincy department.
- Orders supplies for the Chaplaincy Department.
- Responsible for scheduling guests and works in coordination with Environmental Services with upkeep of the Sabbath Room.
- Kosher Pantry liaison.
- Manages incoming calls and handles inquiries.
- Assists in the on-boarding of ministry volunteers.
- Assists volunteer ministry visitors by maintaining and providing religious affiliation lists
- Opens, sorts and distributes mail.
- Maintains log of charitable donations and coordinates, with Security courier, the delivery of donations to the Foundation Department.
- Works in coordination with Environmental Services in maintaining hospital chapel and used accoutrements.
- Assists in the coordination of events for holiday observances.
Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
