Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chef, responsible for production and distribution of foods for hospital patients, cafeteria and special functions as assigned.

6:00am-2:00p, 9:00am-5:00pm, 11:30am-7:30pm. Weekend rotation required.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Uphold organizational values and service excellence standards, ensuring respectful, courteous, and confidential communication with customers and team members.
  • Prepare, cook, and season food according to standardized recipes and accepted culinary methods while participating in daily food production for patients, cafeteria, and catering.
  • Maintain food safety and quality by following proper sanitation practices, safe equipment use, correct storage, and monitoring food temperatures.
  • Support operations by planning cooking schedules, assisting with menu development and recipe improvements, and helping with catering setup and service.
  • Collaborate with team members, address customer concerns, and contribute to a clean, organized kitchen environment while performing additional assigned duties.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field
  • One year of significant experience/institution cooking or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic problems.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with all dietary personnel, hospital employees and maintenance.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
