Job Summary:
The Billing Representative/ Medical Receptionist is responsible for accurately entering and processing all third-party billing and coding charges in accordance with established policies and procedures while working under general supervision. This role also performs a variety of clerical, medical assistant, and administrative support functions to ensure efficient office operations and exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by providing professional, courteous, and respectful interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff, while maintaining communication and interpersonal behaviors appropriate for a healthcare environment. All employees are expected to uphold the Medical Center’s standards of dignity, respect, and compassion and utilize the G.R.E.A.T. model in every patient interaction to enhance the overall patient experience and support the organization's mission and values.

Job Qualifications:
- Proficient in computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn billing and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong reading comprehension skills with the ability to understand, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, insurance representatives, and internal team members
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review, process, and reconcile billing information while maintaining a high level of quality
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
