Job Summary:
The Advance Practice Nurse is an expert clinician and patient advocate in a particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing practice. The Advance Practice Nurse can be a credentialed Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner. The Advance Practice Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of health problems according to established joint nursing/medical protocols. In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advance Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.

Perform interventions, treatments, and necessary diagnostic tests aligned with current research and scope of practice.

Collaborate with physicians to develop protocols and coordinate clinical pathways for optimal patient outcomes.

Monitor and adjust expected outcomes based on patient progress and evolving clinical data.

Conduct impact analyses to improve practices and patient outcomes using a multidisciplinary approach.

Provide consultation and education to patients, families, healthcare teams, and the community.
Education Requirements:
- Master's Degree required.
License/Certification/Registry:
- Current New Jersey APN License
- Current New Jersey Clinical Nurse Specialist =/or Nurse Practitioner Certification
- RN License
- BLS/ACLS Certifcation
- CDS/DEA Registration

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum salary does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. Salary range: $55.00/hour - $75.00/hour
